(For the inside scoop on each quilt block see my mom's blog.)
I also did a little quilting myself. When I was in high school I would go to my older sister's house and nanny her boys for the summer. We started making quilts out of old t-shirts that meant something to us but we no longer wore. I think the first one we made was a concert t-shirt quilt. Last year her oldest son graduated from high school and went to BYU. So she secretly has been gathering his school, work, and play shirts and sent them my way. This was my first "boy quilt" and I think it turned out pretty good. It is always scary to put so much work into something and then hope that the recipient is pleased. By the look on Jordan's face I think I was successful.

Awesome quilt for Jordy, Karen! I wish I would make one of those and get rid of the t-shirts I hang onto. At a stake thing some ladies had used some of their children's favorite, old clothes and made a "comforter" quilt to give them right before their babtism. Ambitious!!
That is AMAZING! I love it. I would love to do that for my daughter some day. She LOVES her t-shirts and never lets me hand them down.
Amazing! What a great idea for a quilt!!! Now that's talent!
